Terms and Conditions
Weekly lets only from June – September with short breaks (3 night minimum) available outside this period. Please contact us to make a booking. A deposit of £100 per week is payable at the time of booking via cheque or direct banking. The balance of payment is due 8 weeks prior to arrival date. Booking within 8 weeks of arrival are payable in full. Please make cheques out to James Brown and send to Octomore Farm, Port Charlotte, Isle of Islay, PA48 7UD
Arrivals and Departures
Weekly lets run from Saturday to Saturday. Your accommodation will be ready by 2pm and outgoing guests are requested to vacate the cottage by 10am. Earlier entry or later departure may be arranged on request.
The cottage should be left clean and tidy on departure and we request any damage/breakages be reported prior to departure in order that these can be rectified for incoming guests. In the unlikely event that a property is left in an inappropriate manner, an additional cleaning surcharge may be incurred. In certain circumstances damage and losses shall be charged in full.
We accept well behaved dogs in the Distillery and Octomore Farm Cottages by request.
Dogs should not be left on their own for long periods and we ask that they are kept off the furniture. Owners should be aware that cows with young calves can be very protective of their young so care should be taken when walking with your dog.
Please clean up after your pet at all times.
We request that guests refrain from smoking in the cottages.
If you require to cancel a reservation for any reason we must be notified as soon as possible. In the event of cancellation we will make every effort to re-let the property. If we are able to re-let you will be reimbursed in full less the sum of £25 to cover administration costs.
If we are unable to re-let the property, cancellation costs shall be incurred as follows:
More than 8 weeks before booking commences your deposit shall be forfeited. Less than 8 weeks before booking commences you will be liable to pay the full cost of rental (i.e. deposit and full balance).
There are occasions when there are ferry /plane disruptions, we cannot be held responsible for late or non-arrival at the properties and so no refunds can be provided
To minimise the cost and inconvenience of cancelled booking, guests are recommended to take out holiday insurance.
